tank + earrings  XXI FOREVER  ||  denim + heels Le CHATEAU

Wearing Red, White and Blue to kick off the holiday this lovely July 4th day!  Okay, so I’m not American, (and I didn’t even do a Canada day themed post, for shame) but I am Calgarian and July 4 marks the start of Stampede this year, which for Calgary is kinda like if the 4th of July happened ten days in a row.For the next ten days, I’ll be showing you different ways to style what I consider to be “stampede essentials” and passing along the little tid-bits of wisdom  I’ve picked up as a ranch-girl turned city-slicker and life-long rodeo aficionado.  I think it shows in these photo’s how happy I am to be back in the country for summer!  Make sure you follow along even if you can’t attend the festivities personally, a little country girl style in the summer never hurt nobody.
Stampede consists of rodeo and cowboys (real and pretend) cut-offs (and are those even shorts?) carnival food (and I dare you to try that!) and everything else you need to have a good party.  Throw in a city of a million who have been working tirelessly on flood relief and we are gonna have one hell of a time, hell or high water! You could wear this out for 4th of July festivities, regardless of your nationality or reasons for celebrating, because everyone likes to party!

summer stampede essential #1 – breezy white tank

July 4th is actually sneek-a-peek, but tonight I’m planning on catching Calgary born Michael Bernard Fitzgerald on the Coke Stage, it officially kicks off the 5th with the parade on Friday morning.  For the show and walking around the grounds I’ll switch to a pair of chucks but going out after requires a little more.. kick (bad, I know) so red heels it is!  I  have to admit, I bought these years ago, took a nasty spill in them and just now have worked up the courage to wear them again.  If I was to give you realistic advice, I would say do not wear heels to the Stampede at all.. but no girl in the world wears heels to be practical! So make your choice and know your pain tolerance. Haha!
One thing about Stampede that’s an absolute certainty – its gonna be hotter than the hottest thing you can think of down on the stampede grounds. (Please disregard that I’m melting in these shots!)  Calgary weather is so weird, June 30th, torrential rain… July 1st, its 35 degrees.  Keep that in mind and dress accordingly if you are planning on spending the day.   Bring sunscreen, water, a light long sleeve throw over, and a hat – the cowboy hat is practically obligatory.  Today I chose a breezy white cowl neck tank with crochet straps because it’s just about the coolest top I own, a peekaboo pretty lace bra from VS add’s a little ooh-lah-lah and to keep the look polished I paired tailored denim shorts with peep-toe pumps.   My dog chewed my cowboy hat and I haven’t got a new one.. I’m probably not going to either so you can just do me a favor and imagine.

anchor tee ROXY  ||  blazer LeCHATEAU  HERE ||  heels GUESS  ||  denim SOLO LAB  ||  sunnies ARDENE

Cobalt and mint is one of my favourite color combinations… ever.  You all know by now my love for any shade of blue, its my favourite color and I am still totally obsessed with these metallic stilettos, they add the perfect flash of color to any outfit.  I couldn’t resist these sunnies for the same reason, especially at 3 for $15, I’m especially loving the mirrored lenses lately.

When I’m at work its so important for me to be comfortable, which is why I love this Roxy tee –  its soft and breezy and I love the anchor print!  I mentioned HERE that I’ve been very into nautical lately, so I couldn’t resist this tee on sale for $15.  Paired with a bright, open blazer this is a prefect breezy summer look for those days stuck in the office when you’d much rather be outside.  A blazer like this is a summer essential, I love a good jewel tone and the material is so light and soft.   If you have a large bust, or a fluctuating mid-section like many ladies I know, a tailored blazer without buttons is a godsend.  To make sure you get the right fit look at the shoulders and the arms, if you aren’t sure pretend to drive a car- you should be able to “steer” comfortably, if not, size up.

Dark denim skinnies (these are my current favourite pair) are an absolute essential, they are so easily dressed up for the office or a night out,  or down for a casual day.  How do you dress up your denim for days at work? Or would you prefer to not think about work at all and just enjoy the long weekend!? (If you’re from Canada, eh?)

This sugar skull tank is an essential for summer, I love the bright kaleidoscope colors and the printed skulls.  I got it at Winners, which is one of my favorite stores ever, I always find so many great things there and they are always priced reasonably.  For me part of the fun of shopping is the thrill of the hunt, at Winners you have to go prepared to sift through the racks but you can always be sure to find something you just NEED to have! These are a few more shots from my time in Denmark, I loved visiting all our family because they all had such beautiful yards for me to explore.  When travelling I pack my favourite basics and live in them; denim shorts, converse low riders a cool tank and my absolute favourite cardigan ever make this outfit basically, perfect!

These shorts are probably one of my most worn items in my closet,  I bought them a couple years ago by now, but I am still constantly going back to them again and again!  I just love anything that glitters, I cannot resist.  If there is one drawback about my gold sequin pair it’s that they don’t have pockets – I hate not having pockets!  Sometimes when I get dressed I just go for all my favourite things- in this case simple silver jewelry from the Dominican Republic, classic aviators and a patent leather statement clutch pair with polka dots perfectly to complement my sparkling shorts! Metallic heels finish the look for polished city style that’s classic and cool.

I am in love with this blouse, the style is my absolute favourite- when shopping for tunic blouses I often go up a size so they will drape nicer and fall just a little longer.  My other requirements for finding the perfect blouse is 3/4 length sleeves and half button-down – the contrasting black and white  and the polka-dot print had me sold.  I love a chiffon blouse and shorts for summer, its chic and cool!

travel the world

The best part about traveling is seeing how different everything is from home. Well… best and worst, because though I live in Calgary, I spare the place little affection, and am planning on leaving at the earliest possible juncture.  Being in Europe with my grandparents, who immigrated here shortly after they were married, really makes me question their decision making skills.  Possibly because Calgary is one of the ugliest cities with its disgusting urban sprawl of suburban cookie-cutter homes and at the center of it, the oil giants monolithic structures looming over the “landmark” Calgary tower.  The biggest one of all (boasting to be the largest Canadian structure West of Toronto) The Bow, is home of Encana Corp and perfectly representative of every single thing in Calgary that I absolutely LOATHE- particularly the company that resides within. If it crumbled to the ground I would do a happy-dance on the ruin, no word of a lie. Compared to home everything in Denmark just seems infinitely more charming, with their cobblestone streets, beautiful boutiques and stunning architecture. (Oh, and no well-sites dotting every inch of the countryside… sorry guys, but I just read the latest from Harper on the Keystone Pipeline and have been extremely angry ever since… OH, AND… just after typing that, I read confirmation that his election was rigged.  I hate you Harper, I hate you Canadian Politics!) Okay, back to the point..

I find it funny – whenever I go anywhere, or tell anyone where I am from – the comment I ALWAYS get is “you don’t look like your from here” (even when I’m walking around Calgary!) interestingly enough people often guess Toronto, so apparently I look like I’m from Toronto …which I am not.

TORONTO style

Visiting Toronto in 2010 with my Mom – we were there for the film fest,  presenting the CBC documentary, Burning Water,  if you would like to understand source of my political rage please check out the link at the top of the page for more info, or go to  Rosebud’s Burning Water.

My home is actually a little farm, but I don’t look very farm-girly either.  I sometimes think that maybe I don’t look like I’m from “here” (where ever that may be) because I don’t feel like I’m from “here”.  My grandparents are Danish and  my mother emigrated from Scotland, so I was raised by Europeans living in Canada.  If the above rant didn’t tip you off, I have approximately zero pride in being Canadian… it’s not that I hate our country, in fact I love the land more than anything.  I hate what we are doing to our land in the name of energy progress, what we have done and continue to do to the natives of this land, our justification of our actions, our cultural apathy, our government, and our winters.  Being proud of your nationality is like being proud of your race or skin color –  I didn’t choose to be born here, I have done nothing to contribute to Canada, and thus, feel no nationalistic feelings of pride.  When I look at the people who do represent Canada, like Harper, or Redford, or the many examples of ignorant racists among my acquaintances I feel less than hopeful.  At my brothers graduation I laughed a little to myself at the very few people who joined in mumbling the words to the national anthem, while mentally comparing it to the Americans belting out the Star Spangled Banner with such vigor.  It seemed to me that I am not the only one with so little pride in our home and native land. (More like our home and stolen-from-the-natives-but-we-don’t-like-admitting-it land.)

North Americans often express the sentiment that Europeans “think they’re better than everyone” sorry to break it to you, but that’s because they probably are.  See in Europe, they’ve kinda run out of space, they’ve been around a little longer, and they understand what it means to have to actually PLAN for future generations.  Canada (and America) were taken way back in the day by the Europeans who wanted MORE.. and thus the foundation of our nations is the desire for MORE than is rightfully ours. Greed can easily go un-checked when you have the one of the largest, most sparsely populated countries in the world combined with massive energy source deposits of oil and natural gas, right next door to the biggest military power in the world.

The moral of this story is I have been reading the news (which never works out well for me) and I may not ever be coming home.

lace skirt + belt by G21 || sunglasses by ARDENE  ||  shoes + blouse by LeCHATEAU  || bag by CO-LAB

Hello from Denmark! The last few days have been crazy busy and exciting, first my brothers grad (he looked amazing in his kilt..  cant wait to get our family photos back- Cedric may have stolen the show in the most adorable fashion possible!) then we jetted off to Amsterdam before arriving in DK.

We shot these before grad, so thats the bow river and not anything more excitingly European, although its risen so much with the recent rains that its been the top news story (still not very exciting). I was still deciding what to wear the night before and this look was the runner up- I love this outfit, white lace and nude accessories are perfect for summer. We decided the hemline was slightly too scandalous for a high school grad.  A friend of mine and I always joke that the shorter the skirt the longer the legs look – we made a rule to break the “hemline longer than your fingers” rule.  Not for grad though.. little bro even made a point of telling me “it better be a long skirt!” (it wasn’t).

flower power

floral skirt, bright bag for summer

||  skirt by TOPSHOP  ||  heels and blouse by LeCHATEAU ||  bag – thrifted  ||  aviators by ARDENES  ||

Apparently April showers bring May flowers… well all we got here in April was snow, not rain, and so May is feeling distinctly flowerless (although now its nearly over things are finally blooming) I threw on this jersey floral skirt to add a little floral to my life, in shades of blue and green of course, because I’ve been living in those tones lately.

I’ll tell you a secret, this skirt is really a tube top with an elastic bust – its such a perfect summer piece, as a top or as a bottom.  When it comes to clothes, as far as I’m concerned, there’s no rules for how to wear them.   A lightly draped “skirt” paired with a silk blouse and belted at the waist is a summer uniform for me.  Today, we finally have the rain we’ve been waiting for, so hopefully we’ll see some more flowers blooming soon!

Happy Humpday!

black//white

Black and white outfit with red heels

|| blazer, belt (similar), heels, clutch by LeCHATEAU  || leather shorts by JESSICA SIMPSON  ||

I mentioned before that I bought this blazer right before I lost a bunch of weight, then it was too big for me to wear and I was sad!  Never one to give up a great piece over something simple like size, I decided to cinch the waist in with this kimono inspired leather belt.  Okay, its actually pleather… but guess how much it cost me? 50 cents – YEAH BUDDY.

Bold stripes and shoulders on this blazer tend to make a girl look boxy, especially when wearing a couple sizes too large – an obi belt cinches the waist and breaks up the stripes, giving the illusion of a tiny midsection.  I love the natural texture of the (faux) leather paired with the bold graphic stripes – leather shorts and an over-sized patent envelope clutch play it up even more. Black and white continues to be one of my favourite trends for spring, maybe its my inner Canadian but I love punching up this trend with a pop of red – these suede platform pumps are perfect.  My little brother gave me these shades after I complained and complained about how the nose piece of my aviators gets tangled in my hair, causing some serious white girl problems. He’s the best, I always steal his sunnies and he always lets me – I’ve never worn white sunglasses before but I like these ones, maybe because the arms are black, or maybe because they were free!

I mentioned before that I love jewelry with a story- I brought this panther bangle back from Punta Cana, then it broke!  Fortunately for me I have the most amazing grandfather- the man can fix anything, and he fixed my bangle for me with a little welding or soldering or something.  Every time I look at it I think of a beautiful trip and my sweet grandfather.  My Celtic knot ring is from Scotland, the turtle ring is from my uncle’s store in Kensington, the gold branch ring is from another local boutique, Purr.  I tend to fidget, so this way each twist of my ring takes me back to a memory with my family somewhere special.  Speaking of somewhere special, I leave for Denmark in just a few days- I am so excited you guys!  So much to do in the next couple days to prepare!

camouflage & coral

blush tones and camoflage on city style country smile

||  coral burnout tee  by element  ||  bralet by free people  ||  camo denim by g21  || aviators by ardenes  || shoes by le chateau  || bag by co-lab  || feather necklace by silla designs  ||

Camouflage jeans have been on my must-buy list for ages, I mentioned before here that I was searching for the perfect pair.  Camo is one of those prints I come back to every few years and right now I am having a major moment with it.  I was in Walmart a couple weeks ago getting my chocolate fix for cheap and spotted these… I actually couldn’t believe it.  I had tried on a current elliot pair and here these were- fitting better for exponentially cheaper ($200 CE v. $20 G21).

I also mentioned my latest love affair with coral (and over-sized tops) here – this burnout tee from element fits the bill perfectly.  The blush tone looks so lovely against tan skin, layered over a sweet lace bralet for an effortless and comfortable look.  An over-sized tee is absolutely essential for summer, just grab one a couple sizes up from your usual – the color of this one was too perfect to resist, so it didn’t matter that they only had medium left.  I love the burnout and the little pocket detail – element is one of my favourite brands for basic tee’s and hoodies.

I kept everything pretty simple here- sometimes the best outfits are the easiest!  Simple gold jewelry and nude accessories let the camo stay in the spotlight. (Even though that’s exactly the opposite of camo’s original purpose!)  I find it interesting how much of my favourite women’s fashion is based off of typically manly things- the military, the navy, the boyfriend jeans or blazer.  Boys just get all the fun!   Fortunately with this whole equality thing, now girls can jack their style and rock it better than any boy I know!

Hope you girls (and boys) have a wonderful weekend! Happy Friday!

summer essentials - la mer watch, aviators, lace, leopard and boyfriend jeans

|| boyfriend jeans by mavi  || leopard heels, fur trim vest, cardigan, green lace top by le chateau  ||  beach stone wrap watch by la mer ||  cross body bag by co-lab  ||  white lace top, floral bustier by sirens ||

If there is one thing I believe in with my whole heart, its that nature has already provided everything we could ever need.  For this outfit I put together all different natural elements – fur, leather, stones, floral, pony hair and leopard print.  In general, I figure if it happens naturally, you can’t really go too far wrong! What do you think?

I’m still really loving these boyfriend jeans. Part of me wants to DIY destroy them but I can’t bring myself to do it because the wash is so nice and they’re such great quality- I think I’ll let them wear out naturally a bit. These are a more polished take on boyfriend denim than a destroyed pair so I can get away with wearing them to the office – I love how cuffed denim perfectly showcases a great pair of shoes, and these are my go-to heels for day or night.

Speaking of go-to, lately I have been layering this vest over everything!  I just love how it pairs with almost anything, the pretty lace and fur trim take the olive green knit up a notch.  The weather in Calgary is so temperamental – easy layering pieces are absolutely essential – a thin cardigan and a vest are just enough to add enough warmth to the cold mornings.  Underneath I wore a floral bustier – another total spring/summer essential, and layered two different lace tops over it- an olive green one under white.  I love the how delicate the lace looks over the floral.

I’m still really stoked about winning this La Mer watch for earth day- as a big fan of the earth (and the brand) I built this outfit around this watch. Usually when I get dressed I pick a single piece to base my outfit around, I love the soft sage leather with the stones and gold – its just so naturally pretty.

“The most beautiful makeup for a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy.”
–  Yves Saint Laurent

I really believe in embracing your natural beauty – if you see photo’s on the blog where I am wearing sunglasses it usually means I am wearing zero makeup.  I don’t usually wear much makeup, especially not to work when I have to be staring at a computer screen all day.  I really wish more girls were comfortable with going out without makeup- the most unfortunate lie we let ourselves believe as girls, is that we need makeup to make us attractive.

Accept yourself- it’s the most beautiful thing you can ever do. Find your passions, follow your heart and fight for your convictions.  Do not live your life according to the standards of anyone but yourself, and do not let hardships break you. And always remember, a smile is the most beautiful makeup a girl can wear.

Tribal Print & Coral

city tribal style - printed leggings, wedge sandals, peach blouse and aviators

seeing double - aviators and coral
|| leggings via TRENDS  || S13 coral blouse, S13 braided leather belt, S12 wedges, F12 cashmere cardigan by Le Chateau  ||  aviators by ardenes  || cross-body bag by co-lab  ||

The other day one of my favourite bloggers, the gorgeous Signeroo, posted about how a stranger had commented on her dress as looking like “safari wear” – this is not a bad thing!  If you check out her post you can see what I mean – she looks lovely in a safari inspired dress, just her blog click link!

Can I just say that I am having a total moment with coral?  It looks so nice on tan skin, I feel so summery in this color! It also looks AMAZING on fair skinned girls, if my roomie wasn’t so shy I’d prove it – we have the same blouse.  Apparently it was featured on city line, which I didn’t know until I looked it up to link for you girls! Here I wear a size medium because I love a truly oversized blouse. Never be afraid to try the next size up when it comes to tops! This one is a great buy! Tribal and safari style are one of the biggest (and most beautiful) influences for summer.  Printed leggings were big on my must-have list for winter, and this gorgeous coral blouse transitions them perfectly for spring/summer!

I cinched the waist (to give the oversize blouse some shape) with a multi-colored braided belt and paired it with bold wedge sandals (check the outlets for them!), a neutral cross-body and coral (like, real coral) earrings a friend brought back from Mexico for me.  I have mentioned before how I love to have jewelry with a bit of a story behind it!

Sometimes I would never consider pairing certain colors together until I find an item with both in it – like coral and purple. Still, I am majorly in love with these leggings, I was a bit nervous about wearing them to work. ( I mean, tribal leggings to a law firm? Y/N?)  Turns out, my worries were totally unfounded, cause my boss and co-workers all loved the tights and the shoes! Yay.  Can I tell you guys a bit of a secret? I always wanted to work somewhere where you could dress nicely.. I mean, saving people is good and all, but scrubs? Yuck.  (Just kidding nurses, ilu!  … not dentists though, we’re still friends off.) Thanks for reading! everyone 🙂

Casual Friday

denim – american eagle  ||  blazer + beanie + pashmina – le chateau  || shoes + sunnies – ardenes  || cross body bag – colab  || striped sweater – quicksilver  || belt – michael kors

Thank God its Friday!  What have you girls got planned for the weekend?  I’ve said it before, I live in this kind of business-casual uniform: skinnies, sunnies, blazer, beanie and a blouse.. it’s pretty fool proof!  In Calgary knowing how to layer is crucial, cold mornings, hot afternoons. I’m carrying every Canadian’s pre-work staple- the Extra Large Timmy-Ho’s.  Something most people don’t believe about me is that I hate coffee, in all its forms- if it’s coffee flavoured I do not want it in or around my mouth.  I take after my lovely mum, Earl Grey tea for me please!

This blazer is possibly my favourite ever- I posted The Basic’s Every Woman Needs and at the top of the list is a black blazer.  This one has all the things I look for- amazing seaming and tailoring, a single button, three-quarter sleeves and cute polka-dot lining!   I love the subtle polka dots with this striped knit top; shades of black, white and grey are perfect for foolproof print-mixing.   For work I lose the beanie and the aviators (and the scarf, its usually hot in the office) but these are all staple accessories for me to throw on every day! I usually like to wear flats on Friday to work, that way I can switch my shoes to dress up the look and last all night long in heels!

To dress up denim for work, every woman needs a good leather belt.  Truthfully, there are a great deal of hideous and impractical belts lurking on ladies sale racks- that’s why I head to the men’s department whenever I want a great basic leather belt- this one is from one of my favorite designer’s- Michael Kors.  Speaking of which, have you seen this Watch Hunger Stop campaign? 1 watch = 100 meals  and I really, really want the gold and turquoise watch.  A watch is another crucial investment piece for a woman, so why not be reminded that your watch helped someone? And that its pretty. So very pretty.

Speaking of pretty, Happy Friday to you! Have a fabulous weekend!

mint & gold

mint blazer, gold sequin shorts, nude heels

blazer, blouse, heels by LeCHATEAU  ||  shorts – thrifted, similar here  ||  iPhone clutch, LA rings, skull ring, heart bangle, braided headband by ALDO

I have to make a confession, my infatuation with gold is relatively new… for years I was a strict silver jewelry girl, I also boycotted the color brown during this phase.  I decided for some reason that they were boring colors and should be reserved for old people.  Ahh, to be 15 again.  Thankfully I’m over it and now I am obsessed with gold jewelry, to the point where I am thinking about changing my medusa piercing to a gold gem, what do you think? I love how gold looks on tan skin, maybe in time for summer!

Last week we had a few days where it was like.. 18 whole degrees.. so I borrowed my BFFs blazer and busted out my new sequin shorts for a cute spring look. I love the color mint, but I always feel like it looks much better on blondes, generally I prefer bolder tones for myself.  That’s why its such a bonus to have a friend who’s clothes you can borrow!

To satisfy my gold-fever I just bought this gorgeous feather necklace from Silla, a local boutique in Kensington (they have a shop in Lethbridge as well) they have mostly jewelry and some cute hippie style clothing, its worth checking out for the beautiful displays alone! My brass branch ring is from a store down the street, Purr, and my turtle knuckle ring is from Manana Imports, which is a couple stores over.  Generally if I go shopping in Calgary I like to hit either Kensington or 17th Avenue, absolutely if you come visit those are the areas to see- cool shops, bars, restaurants and lots of interesting people.

The main reason that I love Kensington (and 17th) is all the consignment and vintage shops.  When I walked into Trends and laid eyes on these gold sequin shorts I actually squee’d with joy.  It was kinda embarrassing… then that doubled when I found a pair of mint leather shorts and double squee’d.  The thing is, I love shorts, and I love sparkles, and leather… so really I just couldn’t help but express my joy through a shrill squeal. Hope you ladies are even a fraction as excited to see this outfit as I was to wear it! Thanks for reading gorgeous girls!

More often than not, I can be found in some variation of this outfit.

I have to confess, I bought this top knowing full well it looks almost identical to a TNA one I already own.

Two differences- the TNA one, has a pocket AND this Quicksilver one is much longer- that was the real selling point.

Left - Quicksilver Right - TNA

TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

See I have mad love for all things striped and sweatery. Particularly in the grey/black/white family.  So obviously I couldn’t resist adding this gem to my shopping cart in order to qualify for free shipping.  I mean, its like getting the shirt for free, really. As much as I love my other one, its just too short for me to comfortably wear it with jeans, so I’m pretty happy with this one. There’s really nothing I love to wear more than a delicate knit, jeans and sneakers. Throw on a beanie, some bright sunnies and a few special accessories and you are good to go.   Also, say goodbye to my green sunnies, this post is the last you’ll see of them, I lost them over the weekend. (So tragic. This is why I buy super cheap sunnies all the time, I lose things constantly!)

Brand Love – Victoria’s Secret

The other day I was in Victoria’s Secret because ever since I lost weight, I also dropped a bra size.  This is perfectly acceptable because then I am totally justified in going to Victoria’s Secret, otherwise known as the place where dreams are made.. Maybe it was the pink lighting or the double push-up bra I had just tried on, or the fact that I had just bought these skinny cargos for $20- but I was feelin’ good.  Since the demise of my camera outfit photos have been harder to take on the regular, so excuse the mirror selfies, but I figured it was better than nothing!

Also, pretty sure VS is practically a mandatory shop for any newly single gal.  Nothing to perk up your spirits quite like perking up your tits with a ridiculous amount of padding, amirite?  I never can actually bring myself to buy the double push up bra.. for one its just… not comfortable.. like where does the boob even go with all that padding in there???  Plus its false advertising and I’m okay with my chest size anyways. But its fun to try on and be like, oh, so that’s how the supermodels look so good.

I also just like to stop by VS on the regular to try on some styles so I know how they fit, then I order online- by shopping the clearance section of their website you can filter by size and save so much money! Shipping is a bit expensive (at least to Canada anyways, I assume in the States it’s marvelous to take advantage of their free shipping deals all the time!) but you can make up the price by shopping specials.  The website also just has so much more selection than stores (again, Canada) so its great so find out how styles fit in store, then you can pick whatever color you like online!  I have a bit of a bathing suit addiction (I justify it with a bit of a swimming addiction) so I have ordered from them many times and never been disappointed.  The one time anything went wrong was totally not their fault, a bottom came in a package marked as a top. I called them up and the replacement was here before I had even mailed back my extra bottoms.  Moral of the story is I am a big fan of the brand.

VS recently bought out the La Senza, which used to be the primary lingerie retailer in Canada, and even though they are now a sub-company or whatever the technical term is, their bra’s are still totally sub-par. I converted a couple of my friends to VS and they won’t go back.  There is a ton of debate in the lady community about bra sizing- obviously some people won’t be able to shop stores carrying a standard size range, I recommend everyone get professionally fitted.  That said, I am average sized in every way including boob size so I don’t have to drop mega-bucks on specialty bras, so I love Victoria’s Secret.  I noticed an immediate difference trying on a VS bra versus a La Senza one, even in the same cup size. The materials and quality are just so much better.   If I haven’t convinced you, just click here to browse through their new swim collection, and try to resist.
